A girl survives a horrific car crash that sends her flying through the air and landing on power lines. She remained hanging from them with a broken leg for more than an hour until help arrived, bTV reported.
Kennedy Littledike, 19 today, crashed her car on May 22, 2021 while behind the wheel in a difficult emotional moment. She traveled with two friends. At one point, however, she became emotional and began to cry. That’s how she got off the road. The car started to overturn, and the young people in it were without seat belts. All three flew out of the car, but Kennedy ended up hanging in the air.
That moment turned her life around. In the course of her recovery, one of her legs must be amputated, and she must accept that she can go on living without it to the fullest.
The other two teenagers suffered injuries and broken vertebrae and bones. Later they fully recovered.
Although she ends up 9 meters in the air, it is landing on the power line that saves her life. The main artery in her leg was pinched by the cables, and then the main artery in her arm was electrocuted.
Kennedy Littledike underwent 21 surgeries for a broken femur, humerus and collarbone, as well as a shoulder plexus injury.
He has had five leg amputations – because the more of it he can keep, the easier it is to walk with a prosthesis. But it turns out that after each of them, an additional part of her leg has to be removed.
Kennedy remembers the moment he knew he was going to lose a leg.
“You’re 16 years old and all the dreams you have in your head just disappear,” she says.
