The gift-giving thing is such a thing. Hardly anyone can avoid it, and not even non-aggression pacts can – supposedly – reliably provide relief. Gifts should not be too big and not too small, thoughtful and loving, not from the “zero eight-fifteen” category, they should do justice to the occasion, especially at Christmas, not overly expensive, but not from the one-euro market either, not at all case, be thoughtless and much more.
