As a part of the Russian Tradition Days in Azerbaijan, Russian pianist Alexey Melnikov performed a grasp class on the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli.

Alexey Melnikov acquired his preliminary musical schooling on the Moscow Gnessin Secondary Particular Music Faculty. In 2008, he continued his research on the Moscow State Conservatory. The musician is a laureate and winner of a lot of worldwide competitions – winner of the II Manhattan Worldwide Music Competitors (USA), winner of the III Prize and bronze medal of the XVI Worldwide Competitors named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, and many others.
The pianist has given recitals in Russia, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Japan, and the USA.
