September 11, 2024. A trio of influential personalities met in a hotel in Conakry to debrief this significant day.

Mamadou Cissé, Director General of the Regulatory Authority for the Gaming and Related Practices Sector (ARSJPA), Bangaly Touré, Deputy Director General of the Mining Investment Fund (FIM), and Falilou Diallo, a committed entrepreneur, shared their impressions on the long-awaited return of General Mamadi Doumbouya from China.

Bangaly Touré to declare: “Whatever the nature of a power, legitimacy is based on popular support. The enthusiasm and fervor that we are seeing today, on September 11, 2024, mark the return of General Mamadi Doumbouya. This constitutes a reaffirmation of our independence and our commitment to his fight for the transformation of Guinea. I am returning from the Mohammed V Palace, and despite the distance and the grandiose reception, he chose to chair a council of ministers. This Wednesday, September 11, a huge crowd welcomed President General Mamadi Doumbouya, who returned from China, where he participated in the 9th edition of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
On the Fidel Castro Ruz highway, which connects Conakry’s Ahmed Sékou Touré international airport to downtown Kaloum, the seat of the Mohammed V palace and the government, citizens shouted, sang and danced in praise of General Doumbouya, their leader.
