Stopped and fainted: An unusual event took place this evening (Tuesday) during the “faction” demonstration of Rabbi Zvi Friedman of the “Jerusalem faction” on Bar Ilan Street in Jerusalem, against the light rail.

Nine protesters who violated the order were arrested by the police, but in one of the arrests – while the police were dragging the detainee to the car, he fainted.

Border police officers who made the arrest initially insisted on putting him in a mobile but after noticing his condition, they rushed to call the MDA forces.

MDA forces granted the detainee initial treatment on the ground and evacuated him for further treatment at Shaare Zedek Hospital in the capital, thus effectively releasing him from detention.

It should be noted that it is still unclear what led to the fainting of the guy, who was arrested while on the road as part of a traffic jam in protest against the light rail.

As reported earlier, for the first time since the struggle of the “Haredi community” against the passage of the “light rail” in the Haredi neighborhoods of Jerusalem, tonight a faction from the “Jerusalem faction” joined the struggle.

Rabbi Zvi Friedman, the leader of the more radical faction of the Jerusalem faction, ordered his men to go out and protest against the light rail. Following this, close to 200 people took to Bar Ilan Street in the capital to protest against the light rail and blocked the junction. During the protest, a vehicle drove into the protesters – even though they blocked it, but miraculously there were no casualties in the incident.

The police worked to open the traffic axis and stopped nine demonstrators, some of them deserters. In addition, the police olive was brought to the scene, but unlike previous demonstrations, it sprayed water and did not skim.
