In the year 1994, Major Durga Das and his wife Jyoti Jasol, resident of Delhi, also went on such a road trip to Udaipur and then stayed here.

Jyoti tells that they wanted to build a house of their own and decided to build it in Udaipur and bought a land of two and a half acres here.

Major Durga Das, who always wanted to serve both the country and the environment, left the army after 13 years of service and started building his dream home on this land. He named it ‘Devra’.

Jyoti also decided to leave her lucrative manager’s job in Delhi and settle here. he first
Started working to make this land fertile.

After years of hard work and many ups and downs in life, he finally transformed it into a lush green heritage and planted many varieties of trees like wheat, seasonal vegetables, jowar, fenugreek, amla, jamun, guava etc.

In 2004, Major and Jyoti welcomed their first guest here.

This heritage homestay, which once started with three rooms, today has ten luxurious rooms for the guests. Here Jyoti not only serves delicious food cooked on the stove to her guests; In fact, she also runs heritage cooking classes for them.
