The high-level Libyan delegation, headed by Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Taher Al-Baour, held a discussion session in Tunisia with senior Tunisian officials, headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nabil Ammar, which discussed Libyan efforts aimed at activating the African Investment Bank.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the two sides discussed the plan to activate the bank and finance development projects on the African continent, in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development, combating illegal immigration, and confronting the challenges of climate change.
The two sides expressed their confidence that the African Investment Bank will play an important role in advancing development on the continent, by financing infrastructure projects, energy, agriculture, health, and other vital sectors.
The two sides also discussed the efforts of the National Unity Government to move the wheel of the national economy and implement development projects in various fields, and stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, in a way that contributes to achieving economic and social development for their people.
The Chairman of the Founding Committee of the African Investment Bank and the Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Fathi Al-Nouri, participated in the discussions.
