The civil war in the Tigray region of Ethiopia has lasted for more than 2 years between the government of that country and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front.

In this situation, a case has been filed in the High Court of Kenya against ‘Meta’, the parent company of the Facebook application, for spreading hate and violence-inciting posts during the Ethiopian civil war.

In this case, Meta has also demanded Rs 16,000 crore as compensation for war damages caused by its activities.

The petition alleges that Meta did not take any steps to ban posts that incite violence on its homepage during the civil war.
