During the general rehearsal of the Chief of Staff’s display of purpose, a wet exercise took place that included live fire and included helicopters and tanks. During the exercise, the forces suddenly noticed Bedouin metal thieves crossing the target line.

Following the infiltration of that squad of thieves into the area, the pilots refrained from firing, and the outline of the exercise was changed.

The response of the IDF spokesman: “About a week ago, a live fire exercise was held in the fire areas of the Tzalim base. Following the movement of a civilian in the safety area of the exercise, it was decided to stop firing the combat helicopter.
