One of the largest humanoid robots in Japan has been commissioned for railway work.

Powered by a remote control, the robot is capable of lifting objects weighing up to 40 kg to a height of 10 meters. It has been reported that the robot can easily repair repairs to power lines that are set up for train operation, and that it can assist in the dangerous work of humans.

The robot is said to have reduced human labor by a third. The government has stated that the human robot is currently being used only on a trial basis and will be fully operational by 2024.
