The Eye-Zone system monitors the location data of the accessories connected to the app, and looks for road users who are in a potential collision course, even when they cannot see each other

A large car manufacturer from Japan placed an order for a mobile V2X system from Eye-Net, which is fully owned by Foresight. The Japanese manufacturer placed the order in order to perform a technical feasibility test of adding the system as an additional safety layer in the vehicle, in addition to the company’s existing ADAS system. The constructions will be carried out in the Eye-Zone warning system, based on the Eye-Net mobile application.

When the application is installed on mobile phones and accessories, it tracks the user’s location and sends information to the cloud information center where each user is and what their direction and speed of movement are. The Eye-Zone system monitors all this information and looks for road users who are in a potential collision path, even when they cannot see each other. As for example when a car and a scooter approach an intersection from two different directions. When the system detects users who are at risk of a collision, it calculates the chance of a dangerous situation or an accident developing, and sends them an immediate warning.

The company defines the information gathering process as a “virtual sensor” called RUDAR, and the warning algorithm called Multi Objects Tracker. Since the process is based on positioning software and not on a physical sensor, its detection capability is at a 360° level. The system is based on Linux and works on 4G, 3G and 5G cellular networks. Its use requires software installation only without the need to make hardware adjustments. It can be integrated into various information systems in the vehicle, the space from the ADAS system, the navigation system or the information and entertainment systems. The feasibility tests will be conducted in cooperation with a Japanese communications company that will provide the communications infrastructure and the communications modules.

The Foresight Company reported that if the project is successfully completed, the possibility of moving to a commercial stage will be examined, where the communications company may act as a distributor in Japan of the application, and will be responsible for its implementation within common applications in the country. Fosight Mans-Ziona develops 3D orientation solutions for vehicles, based on the use of cameras. The company is traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Exchange according to a market value of approximately 37.7 million dollars.
