The Yamaha R1 GYTR PRO Limited Edition 25th Anniversary it is the ultimate weapon for the track, a unique and exclusive opportunity to enjoy the performance of a world champion motorcycle built with the closest specifications to a world superbike.

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the R1, Yamaha Motor Europe has ordered an exclusive series of 25 R1 which will be hand built from the frame up and feature the full range of GYTR PRO performance parts. The R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary will be assembled exclusively by experienced technicians in one of 25 GYTR PRO workshops across Europe.

Developed by the same Yamaha Motor Research and Development Europe (YMRE) competition engineers responsible for the WorldSBK YZF-R1 -bike that won the Superbike title in 2021 alongside Toprak Razgatlioglu-, this limited edition serves as a showcase to show the full range of GYTR PRO performance parts that any R1 owner can fit on their bike.

Among the GYTR PRO parts that this spectacular machine mounts we find, among others, an ultra-strong and lightweight carbon rear subframe designed to accommodate both a modified fuel tank – with a lower center of gravity – and the Magneti Marelli ECU.

front fork Öhlins FGR and a TTX rear shock with pneumatic preload adjustability offer more responsive handling and the same level of suspension adjustability available to professional Yamaha riders. A lower swingarm, developed specifically for Yamaha’s WorldSBK racing programme, improves maximum lean angle and rear grip, while the Brembo machined brake calipersthe same ones used by WorldSBK bikes, provide maximum braking power.

The bodywork of this R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary Limited Edition It is made of carbon fiber it is ultra-strong and lightweight, and has been designed together with the visor to offer optimal aerodynamic performance.

This unit also mounts a módulo GYTR PRO Electronic System (GPES), a state-of-the-art engine control and data acquisition package developed by Yamaha in WorldSBK and the FIM World Endurance Championship. The GPES incorporates the most advanced electronic software riding aids such as anti-wheelie, launch control, engine brake management, adjustable refueling and traction control, and is supplied with a ready-to-use base configuration that provides a good starting point for on-track adjustments.

This R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary is only available to order online, and customers can also specify which GYTR Pro Shop will have the bike built to their exact requirements. Each of the 25 owners spend a day on a racetrack with a team of specialized Yamaha technicians. After the initial on-track set-up, owners will follow the exact same process that world championship Yamaha teams use with riders like Toprak Razgatlıoğlu to fine-tune the bike’s settings to suit their specific riding style.

The price of this Japanese jewel is 159,000 euros, already with 21% VAT included. Those wishing to purchase the exclusive R1 GYTR PRO 25th Anniversary Limited Edition must register their interest using the online reservation system on the official Yamaha Racing website. Delivery of the machines will take place between January and May 2024 on a ‘first to book, first to deliver’ basis.
