A joint force arrests a fugitive wanted for extortion and bribery crimes in Baghdad

Baghdad Operations Command announced today, Tuesday, the arrest of one of the fugitives wanted for extortion and bribery crimes in the Rusafa side of Baghdad.

A statement by the Baghdad Operations Command, received by the (INA), stated that “in continuation of the security plan and intensification of intelligence efforts to pursue outlaws and elements of organized crime and implement judicial arrest warrants, a joint force from the First Federal Police Division, with intelligence support, was able to arrest a “fugitive” accused according to a judicial arrest warrant within the provisions of Resolution (160) of 1983, extortion and bribery.”
The statement added that “the accused was found in possession of $7,000 and 10,000,000 Iraqi dinars, after raiding and searching his house in the Al-Baladiyat area next to Al-Rusafa,” noting that “the accused and the seized items were handed over to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against him.”
