The Palestinian News and Information Agency (Wafa) quoted sources as saying, “The occupation artillery directly bombed the last floor of the Baptist Hospital, which is considered the only hospital still operating in the areas of the northern Gaza Strip, after Kamal Adwan Hospital went out of service after it was destroyed and its departments were burned.” “.
According to the agency: “On Friday, the Israeli army stormed Kamal Adwan Hospital, before setting it on fire and putting it completely out of service. Not only that, but it detained more than 350 people who were inside it, including its director, Hussam Abu Safiya, 180 medical personnel, 75 wounded and sick people, and their companions.” He took them to an unknown destination.”
The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced the death of a child due to extreme cold, while his twin brother is still receiving medical care in the intensive care department of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the center of the Strip.
Wafa News Agency quoted medical sources in Gaza as saying: “The infant, Jumaa Al-Batran, died in the Gaza Strip today, Sunday, due to the cold and low temperatures. He is the fifth infant to die from the cold in less than a week.”
The same sources added that the condition of his twin, Ali, deteriorated due to the cold in a tent in Deir al-Balah, in the center of the Gaza Strip, and he was transferred to the intensive care department of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the center of the Gaza Strip, and is receiving medical care.
A few days ago, four newborn babies, aged between 4 and 21 days, died as a result of low temperatures and extreme cold, according to what the Palestinian News Agency reported.
According to the same sources, food insecurity among mothers has caused the emergence of new disease cases among children, which exacerbates the health situation in light of the difficult conditions the region is experiencing.

A Palestinian journalist was killed by a bullet in the head in Jenin camp
The Palestinian security forces condemned in the strongest terms the heinous crime committed by “outlaws” on Saturday evening in the Jenin camp, which resulted in the death of journalist Shatha Sabbagh after she was shot in the head.
