A journey through film history; Film studies program for journalism students

A film history study program ‘Through the Lens of Time’ jointly organized by the Kerala State Film Academy and the Thiruvananthapuram Press Club’s Institute of Journalism will be held on March 10, 11 and 12 at the Academy’s Ramu Karyat Screen at Kazhakoottam Kinfra Film and Video Park. 20 films that are milestones in the history of world cinema, including silent films, will be screened.

20 films including The Great Train Robbery, A Trip to the Moon, Battleship Potemkin, Citizen Kane, Bicycle Thieves, Rashamon, Seventh Seal, Hiroshima Mon Amar, Psycho, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Aguirre: The Wrath of God will be screened. Academy Vice Chairman and actor Prem Kumar will inaugurate the ceremony at 9.30 am on Friday morning at the Sifra Conference Hall.
