Hello everyone again. When I was in my first year (at MM they are called pre-medical students), I had the opportunity to start a topic. (You can read it here)
https://www.dek-d.com/board/view/4014641/
This will be a review of various stories from Phramongkutklao College of Medicine. When I was in my first year of study, I thought that my young children would now study a whole new curriculum. This is very different from my generation, including the subjects studied in Year 1 as well as the pre-clinical classes (Years 2-3).
But today I guess I’m answering my question again when I was in Year 1, almost 4 years have passed (I’m currently studying in clinical school), what was my experience in Years 2-4? Is it what we thought? Are you tired when you exercise? What is it like to study medicine? What is it like when you move from the preclinical level to the clinical level? (This is the time when the students are about to choose a faculty and I’m near the end of the semester and I just finished taking exams. So I’m here to review the sequence.)
In Year 2 As many people have researched before, it was a year of heavy training. (For people who are not physically strong like me, it will feel heavy.) After practice, I still feel myself how it was done. When we were training, if we were to talk honestly, there would be many things that we would feel to ourselves, why are we doing this? Is there any reason to do this? But after training at that time, I still did not understand this point until the students had WPM status in the third year. The so-called “black hats” who will be responsible for supervising the young trainees are beginning to understand in the context of the training what its purpose is. What is the reason for the training so hard (but let’s be honest – a lot of things probably do not make sense in my opinion). In our own lives, many things may not make any sense or they may be irritated by various matters of little importance. But we have to adapt to it too.
Therefore, I have the opinion that if you do not like training or if you are not a soldier, I would not recommend studying here because there may be many rules that you do not like. (Some things I don’t like) If we don’t have a high base score and want to study in Bangkok or have thoughts about becoming a soldier in the future, I would rather recommend this place. As for the body, I think it can be developed and built.
In Year 3 This is the year that everyone who studies medicine knows that there will be an NL1 exam (step 1 professional license), which requires preparation by reading books or paying attention in the classroom regularly. I think it’s a year where I have a lot more personal time, but it also comes with more responsibility. Because he has to go and supervise the 2nd year trainees (5th year seniors and military officers will be in charge) (I am supervising another rank.) Including being an elderly person who activities coming in continuously and at the end of the year there is a professional license exam. I myself had not done any excellent studies and had to try to be very tired before I could pass the exam.
I think life is in the 3rd year It is somewhat colorful and has a good variety. (Because I myself also do activities with external organizations such as the Office of the Commission for Basic Education) It was a year with more freedom.
In 4th year, I must first say that I have been studying the old curriculum for the past year, which will not be the same as the incoming DEK67 juniors. I would like to ask permission to review what it is. to study in a hospital. In my 4th year, there will be 5 main wards: internal medicine, surgery and paediatrics. Midwifery and psychiatry, a year I would say was quite tough because we had to wake up early to take care of the patients we received cases and to learn with them, something that we have to use our brains and spend energy on every day, which makes us tired. (Some wards came back quite late and the hospital was dark.) Including during the week when we had to write reports (handwritten) which hands could be numb and tired too. But during my studies at the clinic, there is a great variety of learning, and I see it as a year in which I received information from teachers, including Fellows and other Residents that we attended together, where we had the opportunity exchange and discuss opinions. (or sometimes in medical circles, and sometimes it’s called “hitting in” = endlessly asking questions until we’re at a dead end What makes us have to stimulate our own thinking all the time) That personally, I like to study in the clinic. Because we had the opportunity to talk to patients. Ask about daily symptoms, give advice to patients, or even talk about various topics. with the patient Moreover, in this class there is a change of duty. (Which makes us more tired than before haha)
But in my institution, rather than exact wards or studies, And there is the training for the PTTA during January – February, which is like being a military doctor / nurse sergeant – transporting patients or doing any kind of work (which some people don’t like. Because the weather is hot with during training – apart from studying, do you have to come to practice?)
Here is my review of the sequel after reaching the next level. We have seen more perspective on life while studying medicine. As for the future, we have to wait and see.
If juniors or seniors see this content, they can come in and comment on what they see. Because I think everyone has different ideas for sure.b
I want all DEK67 students to achieve their dreams in their chosen group. (I myself have a younger sibling who is also DEK67.) I have seen the exams solved and solved myself. I saw it and was disappointed. (Why did the exam give the wrong answer? So constant values, etc. cannot be given)
If I have any questions about entering here, I can confidential INBOX and ask for more information 🙂
