The National Court has declared void the substantial modification of the working conditions that Cotronic, a company subcontracted by Telefónica in Gipuzkoa, intended to establish for its 35 workers at the Astigarraga center, according to ELA. The nationalist center points out that the company communicated to the workers in 2022 that it would apply a substantial modification of the working conditions at the state level, which would mean, among other things, working on Saturdays, the disappearance of diets and the implementation of the guard service.
The workforce opposed this and has been on an indefinite strike since October 24. Once the consultation period ended, ELA challenged the modification for considering “disproportionate and false the causes alleged by management.” The central explains that the National Court has agreed with them. He points out that the hiring of a specialized expert for the trial at the Hearing, together with the work of the union’s lawyers, has been a “milestone to win the sentence.”
