A mine incident occurred in Lachin district.
According to the information provided to Day.Az by the Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, General Prosecutor’s Office and Demining Agency (ANAMA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a landmine incident occurred on August 3, 2024 in the territory of Kalafalig village of Lachin district, which was liberated from occupation:
“The son of Süleymanov Ali Zeynalabdin, born in 1960, a resident of Vagazin village of Lachin district, fell into an anti-personnel mine in an area not cleared of mines while grazing animals in the pasture area of the Sarıbaba hill in Kalafalıq village of that district. As a result of the incident, Süleymanov Ali was injured in his left leg. The fact is investigated by the Lachin district prosecutor’s office. is being carried out”.
“ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the General Prosecutor’s Office once again call on citizens to observe safety rules, to pay attention to mine danger signs and not to enter areas they are not familiar with!”
