A lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg over the Cambridge Analytics case

After about four years: Washington District Attorney Carl Racine announced today (Monday) that the filing of a lawsuit against Meta (former Facebook) CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg, for his part in the Cambridge Analytics case. So far, Zuckerberg has managed to avoid any legal consequences for his personal involvement in the affair .

A lawsuit filed in Washington court alleges that Zuckerberg oversaw hearings that allowed consulting firm Cambridge Analytics, then working in the service of former President Donald Trump, to obtain the personal information of tens of millions of Facebook users around the world.

“Evidence shows that Zuckerberg was personally involved in Facebook’s failure to protect the privacy and data of its users, which led directly to the Cambridge Analytics incident,” it said. “Allowed users to mislead for a long time regarding the company’s misconduct.”
