Bangladesh Awami League has announced detailed programs on the occasion of Great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day. This program has been announced in the notice signed by the office secretary of the party, Barrister Biplab Barua.

The program includes, on February 20, at 12:01 a.m. the first hour of the morning, the President and the Prime Minister will offer wreaths at the Central Shaheed Minar, followed by a tribute from the party. On February 21 at 6:30 in the morning, national and party flags will be lowered to half-mast and black flags will be hoisted at all branch offices of the organization including the central office and Bangabandhu Bhavan across the country.

7.00 a.m. Wearing black badge, offering wreaths and paying respects at Bhasha Shahid’s grave and Central Shahid Minar at Azimpur Cemetery with dawn procession. The morning ferry will start from the south gate of New Market.

The next day at 3 pm, a discussion meeting will be held at the office of Dhaka District Awami League in Tejgaon of the capital on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day. Party President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will preside over the meeting. Elite intellectuals and national leaders of the country will discuss.

General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Road Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader has called on all the leaders and workers of Awami League to properly observe all the programs of Great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day.
