Annoyed by a good RB Leipzig team, dangerous after a very dull first half, Real Madrid qualified for the quarter-finals thanks to their victory in the first leg (0-1 in Leipzig, 1-1 in Madrid in the second leg).
Without convincing. At the end of a difficult match, the Merengue won a draw against Leipzig (1-1) in the round of 16 second leg of the Champions League. But disaster was near for Carlo Ancelotti’s men.
The first half was all about sleeping on your feet. In success, as in the first leg, Andriy Lunin once again performed well to allow his team to reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, for the fourth consecutive year.
