An earthquake was felt this morning in southern Iran near the port of Bender Abbas, the quake, with a magnitude of 5.8, caused residents to flee their homes and kill at least one, state television in the country reported.

It was further reported that President Ibrahim Raisi instructed his senior vice president, Muhammad Muhabar, to visit Hormozgan province as soon as possible and he urged all bodies responsible to deal with people suffering from injuries and damage.

Meanwhile, a magnitude 5.1 earthquake shook the city of Jangia in northwestern China’s province, according to a statement from China’s earthquake director (Thursday). The noise occurred at 08:26 a.m. at a depth of nine miles.
