The police started the criminal proceedings for sexual violence and prostitution on January 22 of this year, based on the information provided by the Orphan’s Court that an acquaintance of their father may have committed sexual acts with two children born in 2011.
In the initial stages of the investigation of the criminal process, it was established that this acquaintance had performed sexual acts against one of the aforementioned children born in 2011 in 2022. As the investigation continued, it was revealed that the suspect had previously committed sexual acts also against the father of the mentioned children, for which the suspect had already served a sentence.
In the course of the investigation, four more persons were identified who had suffered from the actions of the suspect born in 1972 in the period from 2006 to 2017.
It was established that during the mentioned period, the suspect, using his authority, the trust of the victims and the state of helplessness, committed long-term and systematic sexual violence and enticed him into fornication against the three minor sons of his acquaintance’s wife and one minor boy unrelated to the family.
On January 31, a man born in 1972 was arrested for committing the above-mentioned criminal offense, who was given a security measure – detention.
Also, in the course of the investigation, it was established that the children’s father, who was born in 1982, had performed sexual acts against one of his children born in 2011 mentioned above, in the period from 2019 to 2023, which is being investigated in a separate criminal trial.
The police call on the prosecutor’s office to prosecute the man born in 1972 for 17 separate criminal offenses.
For the most serious of the above-mentioned crimes, a person may be sentenced to life imprisonment or imprisonment for up to 20 years if found guilty.
