Three people were shot to death Friday in a residential building in southern Germany and two others were injured at a nearby home, police said. A suspect was arrested.
The shooting took place Friday night in lengthwise, on the outskirts of the Bavarian town of Augsburg. Police said the suspect, a 64-year-old man, was detained, according to reports by the German news agency DPA.
The authorities indicated that the reason for the attack it was still being investigated.
According to police, the suspect shot two women, ages 49 and 72, and a 52-year-old man, killing them, before heading to another house on a nearby street.
There, he allegedly shot a 32-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man. Both were being treated at a hospital.
