Can anyone spend years with a dead person? It seems like no, but it’s been four years since a man lived with his dead roommate in order to extort money. A case has been registered against him for theft and forgery. As of October 2018, the family had no information about the 64-year-old Kevin Oslon.
So the relatives informed the police to search his house in Chico, California, USA and find any trace. Officers saw the shocking sight. David Purtle, 57, who had been Oslon’s roommate since his death four years ago, has been living with the body.
David is suspected of stealing Oslon’s identity and money, according to the Butte County District Attorney’s Office. He has been charged with several counts of forgery. It includes withdrawing money from the bank using a friend’s check book.
The detective says records show David wrote 50 payments in Oslon’s name. The investigating officers also found that none of the signatures on the checks and others were signed by Oslon.
