The exhibition Munkácsy in Székesfehérvár – Selection from the collection of Imre Pákh opened in the Rendház in mid-September, and welcomed its ten thousandth visitor on Monday afternoon. The lucky ones were László Pokrián and her husband, László Pokrián, who came from Szeged to see the exhibition.

She and her husband regularly go home to Székesfehérvár, and they learned about the exhibition on TV. They just visited the renovated Rendház building for the first time, and spoke highly of the exhibition space of the Szent István Király Museum.

Krisztián Pokrovenszki, the director of the Szent István Király Museum, said that after the renovation of the Rendház building, they decided to organize exhibitions that could be widely popular. In the director’s statement, he emphasized that Munkácsy was already very popular in his own time, and almost everyone remembers one of his famous paintings, such as the Ásító butler from 1869, which visitors can also admire.
Dr. Károly Belényesy expressed his pleasure at the high level of interest. As he said, the ten thousandth visitor also means that the exhibition has been visited by nearly 250 people every day since its opening, which is a very good result.
