The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees delivered a shipment of medical equipment and supplies to primary health care centers in Libya.
According to a statement by the Commission on its Facebook page, the shipment includes medical beds, wheelchairs, laboratory equipment, ultrasound machines, in addition to sterilization machines.
UNHCR added that its focus is on clinics located in areas that have received refugees, as well as internally displaced people and the host community.
The Commission indicated that three clinics in Tripoli and Al-Zawiya received this support, which targets 35,000 beneficiaries in areas where health services are suffering from increasing burdens.
The Commission confirmed that it will deliver more equipment to target 5 clinics in the east of the country, including in Benghazi, Shahat and Kufra, to help Sudanese refugees, internally displaced people and those affected by the Derna floods, and another 67,000 people will benefit from this life-saving aid.
