Podolyak noted that Ukraine is not only signing an agreement, but wants to develop a specific mechanism that will ensure its security in the future. So far, both the Russian delegation and the Ukrainian delegation are standing by their positions. It may take several days to a week and a half to resolve the disputed issues. “During this period, we must approach the conclusion and conclusion of a peace agreement,” he said.
Podoliak stressed that as soon as the work on the agreement is completed, a meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and Russia will be organized. “It will happen in the coming weeks. However, the place does not matter to us. It can be anywhere except Russia, “he said.
According to Podolyak, the peace agreement will take into account the interests of Ukraine, which has suffered heavy losses due to the Russian invasion.
Regarding future relations with Russia after the conclusion of the peace agreement, Podoliak noted that it will not be possible to go back in time and talk about “brother-brothers”.
