(Isa Tareen) A high-level meeting of all people’s representatives related to the security and other issues of Balochistan was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.
Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Mandokhil, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Ahmad Bugti, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar attended.
Sardar Yakub Khan Nasir and Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran from Pakistan Muslim League-N, Zahoor Ahmed Bilidi and Meena Baloch from Pakistan Peoples Party, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, Rahmat Saleh Baloch and Mir Kabir Muhammad from National Party, Balochistan Awami. Khalid Hussain Magsi and Sadiq Sanjrani from the party, Zamrak Khan Achakzai and Mr. Asghar from Awami National Party, Maulana Abdul Wasi and Yunus Zahri from Jamiat Ulema Islam attended the meeting.
The heads of the political parties informed the Prime Minister about the problems of the people of Balochistan. In the meeting, the security situation in Balochistan and the ongoing operations against terrorists were comprehensively reviewed.
The participants of the meeting expressed their solidarity with the families of the victims of recent terrorism in Balochistan and appreciated the bravery of the security forces for their timely response to prevent the loss of more innocent lives. Condemned in words, the meeting resolved to use all resources to end terrorism.
