As part of the Days of Culture of Belarus in Azerbaijan, Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli received a delegation led by Minister of Culture of Belarus Anatoly Markevich, the press service of the department told Day.Az.
During the conversation, Adil Karimli emphasized the successful development of ties between Azerbaijan and Belarus in various fields, including culture and the humanitarian field, which is a consequence of mutual trust and friendly relations between the heads of state. The importance of holding the Days of Culture of Belarus in Azerbaijan in the context of common history and culture, its contribution to the development of relations was noted, and broad prospects for further fruitful cooperation in various fields were identified, in particular in the film industry, librarianship, music, etc. The creation of a bilateral working group will be important for the entry of cooperation in the field of culture into a new stage.
Anatoly Markevich expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality, expressing his desire to see Azerbaijan as a regular participant in traditional cultural projects implemented in Belarus, the Minsk International Book Fair, the Slavic Bazaar music festival in Vitebsk and the Minsk International Film Festival “Leaf Fall”. The participation of the Belarusian side in the VI World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, which will be held in Baku from May 1 to 3, was discussed.
The parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest and exchanged souvenirs.
