A meeting was held with the Azerbaijani women’s chess team, which will take part in the World Chess Olympiad in September.
According to information provided to İdman.biz by the Chess Federation, the meeting was attended by members of the national team Gunay Mammadzade, Ulviya Fatalieva, Govhar Beydullayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, Khanim Balajayeva, as well as captain Mikhail Shereshevsky and coach Evgeny Tomashevsky.
First, the chess players talked about the latest tournaments they had participated in. After that, captain Mikhail Shereshevsky and coach Evgeny Tomashevsky expressed their opinions on the final stage of preparation for the Olympiad.
The President of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, Mahir Mamedov, who is interested in the progress of preparations for the Olympiad, said that the necessary conditions will continue to be created for the national team in connection with training.
During the meeting, the preparation plan for August and other issues related to the Olympics were discussed.
It should be noted that the World Chess Olympiad will be held in Hungary from September 10 to 23.
