The Civil Guard investigates the death of the four-year-old boy, who died when he was transferred to the hospital
The Guardia Civil investigates a domestic accident in Cifuentes (Guadalajara) in which a child under the age of four has died after a knife has been stabbed. This has been confirmed to Europa Press by the mayor of the municipality, Marco Antonio Camposwho has indicated that, apparently, the events occurred when the minor ran into the kitchen of the house in which he was staying and an adult had a knife at waist height that accidentally plunged into the minor’s neck .
At first the little one was transferred to the health center of the municipality where he received first aid and from there it was decided to transfer him to the Guadalajara Hospital although, according to the mayor, he died on the way or upon arrival at the hospital.
The City Council, he added, is considering the possibility of declaring some day of official mourning, but it has not yet decided and what it has done has been to transfer to the public the days and times of the minor’s burial.
Campos has pointed out that the residents of Cifuentes are dismayed because the minor’s family, although they did not usually live in the town, knew that they went there “many” weekends. “They are known people and the neighbors are shocked,” he concluded.
