A drunk driver under the influence of drugs and alcohol who was driving his car in Palm Springs, California, hit the wall Chabad Synagogue and ran with his car into the hall.
The vehicle drove at excessive speed and blew a huge hole in the wall of the synagogue.
Only four people were inside at the time, and by God’s grace none of them were hurt. The driver himself was moderately injured and was taken to the hospital.
Chabad Info has learned that there was no damage to the holy ark which the driver hit near it, nor to the cantor’s prayer column and the holy books that were in the temple.
It was also learned that the driver hit near the permanent residence of the Rebbe of Satmar, who prays in this synagogue when he is on vacation.
Following the accident, prayers are not held in the Chabad Synagogue under the direction of the Rebbe’s messenger King Mashiach The rabbi Yonatan Denabaim And the Rebbe of Satmar prays at the home of one of the members of the community.
