A monument to 46 miners and five rescuers who died as a result of the accident at the Listvyazhnaya mine on November 25 will be erected in the Kemerovo Region. This was announced by the head of the region, Sergei Tsivilev, reports TASS.
The site for the monument will be chosen after a meeting with the families of the dead miners, which will take place on January 11.
The governor also said that the state will continue to provide material assistance to the families of the victims. In particular, their children will be accompanied at all stages of their education. Families have already received compensation payments from the budgets of all levels, as well as from the enterprise. The issues of providing families with housing are being resolved, added Tsivilev.
