After “Hashira’s Training” Tanjirō will face the final battle. The “Infinity Castle” arc will not be adapted in the form of season 5, but as a film series.
In Demon Slayer Season 4, Tanjirō proved that he is capable of training the Pillars. Now, according to the manga of the same name, the all-important battle against the demons is about to begin. That’s why anime fans are already eagerly waiting for season 5 – but it won’t come. But before you tear up, you might take comfort in the announcement of a movie series that will bring the action-packed “Infinity Castle” arc to the big screen. This is what the following teaser trailer announced:
“Demon Slayer” season 5 is not coming – but a film trilogy is
The “Demon Slayer” manga is already finished. Accordingly, we know that two more arcs await us after “Hashira Training”: “Infinity Castle” and “Sunrise Countdown”, which together form the “Final Battle” arc. Instead of the fifth season, the final part of the plot about the demon hunter Tanjirō will be in one Movie – Trilogy picked up.
This is not unknown territory for fans of the Anime series: The “Demon Slayer” franchise can be enjoyed with “Demon Slayer – The Movie: Mugen Train”, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaibia – To the Swordsmith Village” and “Demon Slayer” : Kimetsu no Yaibia – Training the Pillars” already has three movie releases. However, these are mainly collections of different seasons. The announced “Infinity Castle” movies are the first independent works in the anime series.
When do the new “Demon Slayer” movies start?
Although it is Crunchyroll in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment it has been officially announced that the film trilogy will be released in cinemas around the world, but the release date has not yet been announced. Since production has already begun on the grand finale, we could see the first film in the final trilogy as early as last year. 2025 looking forward to. If those responsible stick to the usual annual rhythm – and this is possible for the animation studio Ufotable – parts 2 and 3 of “Infinity Castle” could be expected in 2026 and 2027. The manga series also summarized the chapters as the “Final Battle” arc.
