Jeddah: The 29th Lulu Hypermarket in Saudi Arabia has opened its doors on the busy Medina Road in the Ruwais district of Jeddah. Jeddah Chamber Vice Chairman Khalaf bin Hussain Al-Utaibi inaugurated the event. In the wake of heavy rain damage in Jeddah last Thursday, the opening ceremony of the new hypermarket was cut short and the ceremony was kept simple. In lieu of the inauguration cost, the amount was donated to Nafa Charity Society to help more than 1,500 needy families. Lulu Group Executive Director M.A., who participated in the opening ceremony, said that Lulu Group is always with the community, they give priority to humanitarian considerations and they have taken such a decision realizing that it is their responsibility to help the flood-affected families. Ashraf Ali said.

The new hypermarket is set up with a total area of 1,90,000 square feet, including a single-storey store of 90,000 square feet. There are 16 checkout counters and parking facilities for around 275 cars. All facilities available in Lulu Group’s other hypermarkets are also available in the new hypermarket. A rich array of the freshest fruits, vegetables, meat and sea food from around the world is prepared. The new hypermarket features breads, cakes, meat-based plant-based foods, specialty organics, superfoods, and more, baked in the mall’s in-house bakery.

MA said the store will include popular Lulu shopping stations such as Lulu Fashion, electronics division Lulu Connect and beauty and cosmetics division BLSH. Ashraf Ali said. MA noted that the commitment to the new economic energy of Saudi Arabia and a vibrant investment destination have served as an important link in the expansion of the Lulu Group. Ashraf Ali praised the Saudi leadership’s vision for a brighter future. Lulu Hypermarket Saudi Director Shahim Muhammad, Western Province Regional Director Rafiq Muhammadali and other officials attended the inauguration ceremony.
