The most interesting vehicle for consumers in Israel is the new Chevrolet Trax, which is in the process of being imported to Israel. According to the records of the State of Israel, the declared price of the Trax is expected to range between 158 and 161 thousand shekels (although the car importers are not always accurate in the declared prices). In other words, the Trax is expected to be a relatively cheap off-road vehicle in the category. The new Trax was introduced in the USA last year – and extends to a little more than four and a half meters. In a very “un-American” way – the new Trax is equipped with a 1.2-liter turbo engine that produces 137 horsepower.
Next to the Trax, there is also a new Chinese car – 5W by the Chinese WM (Waltmeister), whose price declared to the Ministry of Transportation is NIS 180,000. The 5W is equipped with an electric motor that produces 215 horsepower. According to the records of the State of Israel, the first 6 W car is also on its way to Israel, but according to the records, the process of releasing the vehicle by the State of Israel has not yet been completed.
Another interesting car that appears in the records is the electric version of the commercial Fiat Doblo – the E DOBLO. The commercial Doblo shares assemblies with similar vehicles from Peugeot and Citroen that belong to the Stelantis group. The declared price of the electric Doblo is NIS 150,000, but as mentioned, car importers sometimes specify a price for registration purposes only, meaning the price of the Fiat electric commercial vehicle to the consumer may be different.
Alongside these, an electric Volkswagen appears in the records of the State of Israel at a price of NIS 130,000, about half the price of the electric Volkswagen models currently marketed in Israel. The reason for this is that it is a Volkswagen E UP – Volkswagen’s small electric car that arrives in Israel for the time being only through parallel imports. The E UP is equipped with a modest electric motor that produces 83 horsepower and the official driving range is 205 kilometers.
