A new factory and hundreds of hires: Aura Aéro is aiming for the heights with its low-carbon aircraft

Faced with its rapid development, the company Aura Aéro, an aeronautical manufacturer of hybrid aircraft based in Cugnaux (Haute-Garonne), is accelerating by announcing the creation of a factory on the site of Toulouse-Francazal airport. To meet the needs of carbon-free aviation, it will mass-produce the Integral R, a two-seater aerobatic aircraft that it intends to develop in an electric version, as well as its future hybrid ERA aircraft (half-thermal engine, half-electric ) with 19 seats for regional transport. A new tool to ensure the hundreds of orders for Intégral as well as the letters of intent to purchase for 330 ERA devices.

From 130 to 1,600 employees

In order to keep to its industrial schedule, which provides for the start of series production of Era from the end of 2025, the manufacturer plans to settle in the next thirty months on this new site, with a built-up area of ​​40,000 m2. Called Aura Factory, this new site will be sized to produce around 150 aircraft per year, 50 Integral and 100 ERA.

We intend to be among the leaders of this industrial revolution and we would like to express our gratitude to the local authorities, Toulouse Métropole, the Occitanie region as well as to the BPI, for the support they provide us in the realization of this project which is part of an ambitious schedule.

The construction of this plant amounts to 150 million euros. The Toulouse company now has 130 employees but is aiming for 1,600 when this production tool will be operational in 2026.
