A man thus contacts elderly people pretending to be an official investigating the hacking of their bank card. He then invites retirees to go to a tobacconist’s type business to buy PCS coupons, for which he asks the victims for the codes. The criminal finally forces his interlocutors to destroy the codes so as not to be spotted.

“A police officer will never ask you to make a purchase and even less to communicate to him the codes of redeemable vouchers”, warns the Vaucluse police on social networks.
