The mayor, Rafi Sa’ar told a green newspaper in the village: “This week I signed the construction permit for the construction of a building for the scout movement with quite a bit of excitement. The Shalit tribe was named after the founder and head of the first tribe that operated on Herzl St., dear Eric Shalit, who was the father of my good friend Noam and whom I knew about forty years ago. Thanks to Eric, I gained many good memories from my childhood. The new building will be built to the highest standards and will allow our lovely girls and young men to continue their blessed activity, an activity based on the values of love of the land and love of people. We will continue to work for our youth in Kfar Saba and its future, among other things, by establishing a new building for the working and learning youth movement, as I promised.”
