A new ice filling machine was bought for the Kosmos ice arena in Kaluga. The old car has served the school for more than 10 years, according to the regional ministry of sports on Friday, June 18.

“For the sports school employees, the Olympia ICEBEAR Electric car has been a dream for several years. The new machine is more environmentally friendly, it is completely free of harmful emissions. It is reliable, designed for a long life, easy to operate and characterized by low operating costs,” the ministry said.

The car was purchased thanks to the federal project “Sport is the norm of life” and funds from the regional budget. The old arena equipment often broke down, there were difficulties in finding specialists for its repair.

“We have always thought with concern what would happen if our old car breaks down completely? Then the training process on ice will stop completely. With the purchase of a new machine, the quality of ice and air in the arena will improve, and this is very important for achieving results in sports,” notes director of the secondary school “Cosmos” Nikolay Antokhin.

The development of the sports school will continue. The delivery of an automated refrigeration unit and a hockey treadmill is expected in the near future.

Earlier, the employees of the sports school turned to Kaluga Governor Vladislav Shapsha with a request to purchase an ice-filling machine.
