New stabbing in South Korea. This Thursday, thirteen people have been injured after a man was attacked with a knife near the Seongnam subway station, south of Seoul, according to the South Korean Police.

According to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, police detained the suspect just ten minutes after it was reported that a man was stabbing people near the Seohyeon bus stop. The event began around 5:55 p.m. (local time).

Witnesses at the scene told Yonhap, the suspect was wearing a black suit and sunglasses, and was brandishing a knife about 50 to 60 centimeters in length.

Nine people were reportedly stabbed near the metro station, while four others were injured after the suspect crashed a car into a pedestrian crossing.

The authorities reported that three of the injured have been taken to the hospital emergency room and for the moment the extent of the injuries to the other victims is unknown, adds the EFE news agency.

It should be remembered that a similar incident occurred on July 21 in the southeast of the South Korean capital, when a man began stabbing pedestrians in the middle of the street, leaving one dead and three injured.
