A new program in Kfar Saba: Kindergarten children in special, state and state religious education will study together

A new educational program is being launched in Kfar Saba – Sha’ar for the city – a collaborative Friday. The program connects kindergarten children in special education with children in state and state-religious education. It is a joint effort of the Municipal Education Division and the Supervision of Special Education in the Ministry of Education, with the aim of deepening the connection between special education This is part of the values ​​of tolerance and acceptance of the other – which are embedded in education in the city, starting from early childhood, as part of the policy to integrate children and people with disabilities as an integral part of the local community, while seeing each and every one as equal and accepting each person for who they are.

As part of the program, girls and boys from the 30 kindergartens from the special education in Kfar Saba will study every Friday together with girls and boys from 30 kindergartens from the state and state-religious education, building a common, inviting and solidifying day. In order to operate the program and its success, two counselors were assigned – from regular education and from special education – who assist in building the collaborative program and accompany its implementation, where the partners of the program included the education and teaching teams in the kindergartens in the city – kindergarten teachers, aides and auxiliaries, the paramedical teams and kindergarten psychologists.

The supervisor of special education in the central district, Adina Bar Alia, said: “We were privileged to work and operate in the city with heart and people with soul. Friday is a festive day, and recently, even more so. The cooperative Friday program is slowly becoming a way of life. And kindergartens turn perceptions into reality.”
