A new trailer reminds us of the launch date of the PS5 exclusive

Not even two weeks after the launch of ConcordSony is ready to release a new first-party exclusive on PS5, the last of the current year. The game in question is Astrobotavailable starting this Friday, September 6th exclusively on the current-gen console of the Japanese giant, and to celebrate the imminent launch a new trailer has been released in which characters and explorable worlds are shown.

The launch trailer of Astrobot sheds light on the protagonist’s mission: to save the bots scattered after the destruction of the Mothership and bring them home, at the cost of having to explore one by one the over 50 planets on which the various robots have landed. In total, players will have to save 300 bots, of which 150 are inspired by PlayStation characters such as Aloy from HorizonKratos in God of War and Joel and Ellie of The Last of Us. Once rescued, the little guys will be able to join forces to perform group actions that will allow them to explore other areas of the hub planet. In the video, you can see some of them working together to create a wall that allows Astro to reach high areas.

Astrobot It is the latest work of Team Asobi, and was born following the excellent reception received from Astro’s Playroomthe second chapter of the platformer series proposed as a “tech demo” for PS5. It is a product belonging to a genre usually closer to Nintendo than to PlayStation, but also an experiment that Sony wanted to do, especially in a “transitional” year for most first-party studios.
