Inaugurated at the New York UN Headquarters by the Minister for the Family and Equal Opportunities Elena Bonetti the photographic exhibition entitled ‘Women and Girls in Sub-Saharan Africa. Transforming Education for a Sustainable Future’ – organized on the sidelines of the 66th edition of the Commission on the Status of Women, the largest UN platform for women’s rights and gender equality – which sees the shots of Mohamed Keita, a young Ivorian photographer for over ten years in Italy with refugee status.

The exhibition is co-organized by Italy’s permanent mission to the UN and Universities Network for Children in Armed Conflict, launched in 2020 with the support of the Farnesina, which includes over fifty universities and research centers on four continents. The San Pio V Institute of Political Studies and Law International are also supporting the project.
