Mumbai: A child died after falling into an open tube well in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. Sagar Buddha Barela, a five-year-old boy, died. The child died while the NDRF rescue operation was in progress. The incident happened on Tuesday morning.

The child fell into a 200-feet deep tubewell at four o’clock on Monday evening. The child was trapped about 15 feet deep. Then the rescue operation started under the leadership of NDRF.

Later the child’s condition worsened. Authorities said the child died Tuesday morning. Sagar’s family hails from Madhya Pradesh. They were workers cutting sugarcane at the place.

In a similar manner, in the case of a four-year-old boy falling in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, the rescue operation led by the NDRF was to save the child.
