Some land plots in state and municipal ownership in the administrative territories of the city of Baku, Garadagh and Absheron regions are designated as territories of renewable energy sources (RES).
Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov signed a corresponding resolution, Day.Az reports.
According to the resolution, 3.375 hectares of state-owned land in the Mushfigabad village of the Garadagh district of Baku, 19.875 hectares of state-owned land in the administrative territory of the Absheron region, and 34.5 hectares of land classified as agricultural land, of which 11.25 hectares are owned by the municipality of Pirekeshkul-Gobustan, Absheron region, and are designated as territories of renewable energy sources for the construction of a wind power plant with a capacity of 240 MW.
The Cabinet of Ministers also decided to designate some land plots in state and municipal ownership in the administrative territories of Neftchala and Bilasuvar districts as territories of renewable energy sources.
Thus, 523.0 hectares of land in the administrative territory of the Neftchala district, belonging to the category of lands for industrial, transport and other purposes, used by the Ministry of Defense, 400.0 hectares of land owned by the Yenikend municipality of the Neftchala district, 50 .0 hectares of agricultural land owned by the Neftchala Municipality – a total of 973.0 hectares of land, designated as a territory of renewable energy sources for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 315 MW.
A state-owned land plot with an area of 1454.0 hectares, classified as agricultural land in the administrative territory of the Bilasuvar region, is designated as a territory of renewable energy sources for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 445 MW.
