Al-Marsad newspaper: The Russian nutrition expert, Andrei Bobrovsky, revealed the rate of consumption of meat that the body needs daily.

In an interview with Radio “Sputnik”, the expert indicated that meat contains proteins of animal origin, which are an important and indispensable source of essential amino acids in the human body. But there is no need to eat this food in large quantities, it is enough to eat 50-150 grams of it per day.

“On average, the body should get 15 percent of its daily calories from proteins of animal origin, which equates to 50-150 grams of meat per day,” he says.

He adds, however, not all meat products are suitable for daily consumption and to obtain the required benefit from them. Because some of these products contain a large amount of fats that are harmful to the body.

He says, “The consumption of meat containing harmful fats should be reduced, and as a rule it is red meat, such as beef and lamb, which is recommended to be eaten once a week or a month.”

Disadvantages of eating too much meat

According to him, eating red meat can lead to the development of serious diseases and reduce life expectancy.

He says, “The more red meat in the diet, the lower the life expectancy. Because bad fats cause atherosclerosis, stroke and heart attacks, and the products of meat digestion are toxic to the mucous membranes of the intestine, which increases the likelihood of cancer.” .

He added, it is better to eat poultry or young lamb, because it contains a low percentage of fat.

Warning to these people not to eat meat

The expert added that it is not recommended for people over the age of sixty to eat all kinds of meat daily, and to obtain the necessary amino acids, they should eat fish, seafood, mushrooms and vegan cheese (tofu) made from soy milk.
