A pair of Russian comedians who have already pranked celebrities in the past, this time pretended to be the president of France and pranked the president of Poland. In the conversation, the Polish president told his “French counterpart” that he was wary of war with Russia

Poland’s president spoke with an impersonator of French President Emmanuel Macron the night a missile hit a Polish village near the Ukrainian border, the Polish president’s office said Tuesday.

In a recording of the conversation posted online by Russian comedians Woban and Lexus, who are close to Putin, Polish President Andrzej Duda can be heard speaking in English to the caller who is trying to speak English with a French accent.

This is the second time in recent years that the clowns from Russia manage to work on the Polish president. In the past they cheated French President Emmanuel Macron, British singer Elton John and former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and many others. This time the conversation came on an evening when the world feared that the war in Ukraine might spill over its borders. “Emmanuel, believe me, I am extremely careful,” Duda says to the ‘President of France’, “I don’t want to wage war with Russia and believe me, I am extremely careful, extremely careful.”

Duda’s office announced: “After the missiles fell during the ongoing talks with heads of state and government, a man claiming to be French President Emmanuel Macron called. During the conversation, President Duda realized from the unusual way in which the interlocutor conducted the conversation that it might be a prank attempt and ended the conversation.”

Duda’s office stated that they are investigating how the callers managed to reach him. In 2020 the two called Doda, one of them pretending to be UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, and raised questions about security and call filtering in Doda’s office.
