Dancing at both weddings? The lineman and referee Aya Abed, who serves in her position in the first, second and various youth leagues, was recently recorded playing, at the same time as her duties in the referees’ union, in the women’s team of Palestine against Lebanon, in the tournament that took place last month.
It turns out that Abed plays for Araba’s women’s team at the same time as she works for the union. In the balance even a goal in the uniform of the Palestine national team in 1:1 against Syria. She told ONE in response: “I am a judge, an actress and a coach. I used to play for the Israeli national team.”

The referees union were surprised that she was playing for the Palestine national team and stated that “Abed will not be able to continue playing and refereeing and from our point of view she will not be able to continue refereeing”. Aya grew up in the north of Israel and has served in various positions in the union since 2017. The last game she refereed was about a week and a half ago in the match between Hapoel Karmiel and Ironi Yafia in the B League.
